I’m extremely disappointed with the communication and care we received at Edison Family Dental Care. I specifically scheduled my daughter’s filling appointment to maximize treatment before our insurance expires at the end of the month, and I clearly communicated this when booking. The front desk even confirmed these notes were documented. However, during the appointment, the doctor had not reviewed the notes or expectations beforehand, and we were later told there were anesthesia limitations that were never explained to me in advance. Despite having additional scheduled time available, treatment ended early and staff immediately began discussing pushing the remaining fillings into next month after my insurance expires. What frustrated me most was the lack of accountability, communication, and empathy. Instead of acknowledging the office’s failure to review notes or communicate limitations properly, I was made to feel like I was the problem simply for expressing concern about my daughter’s care and financial situation. Patients deserve clear communication, proper preparation, and respect — especially when insurance deadlines and treatment planning are involved.
