a month agoPaid $5000 for a transmission. After a few weeks it started doing the same thing as before. Took it back to have it looked at, couldn't reproduce the problem. Now, 14 months later I'm on the side of the road waiting for a ride.

2 months agoThere’s a stereotype that, as a woman, it’s easy to be taken advantage of by mechanics you don’t know. Unfortunately, that’s how this experience felt. I specifically asked for a full inspection of the car, yet it was returned with no air in the tires, which was disappointing. The dashboard clearly showed they needed air—that’s the bare minimum. There also needs to be much better communication regarding quotes versus what you actually end up paying. I paid more than what I was verbally quoted, and one of my main concerns—something I asked to be addressed—was never communicated to me as not being done, yet I still paid more. This was just my experience and of course I wish it wasn't in my search to find a honest mechanic..

3 months agoI can’t recommend Faithworks Transmission enough, especially for those who aren’t very car-savvy and don’t want to be taken advantage of. These guys really live up to their name. From the moment I arrived, I experienced more grace, courtesy, and honesty than almost any place of business I’ve visited; nevertheless, any other auto place. There was a troubling, high-pitched chirping sound coming from the hood of my 2010 Honda Civic. First, I went to Triple A, and they charged me over $100 just for a simple sound check and then quoted me $5,000 for “necessary repairs.” Thankfully, my friend told me about Faithworks. I drove over 40 minutes the next day, and when I arrived, the owners greeted me and answered all my questions. They quickly identified my car's problems (needed new strut assemblies and suspension control arms), quoted me a much fairer price and broke down the individual charges, which I happily accepted. With no ride back, I asked if I could stay until repairs finished, and they said yes. The owner, Samuel, made sure I was comfortable and even offered me food. Since the repairs took longer than expected, they gave me a discount and the option to use their company vehicle until the next day. I was overwhelmed with their kindness. In the end, I left with my car in great shape, the chirping sound gone, and they even ordered me a new key fob free of charge! It's experiences like this that inspire people to be kinder to others in their own lives. Thank you, Faithworks Transmission!
